Raheem Sterling’s camp are growing less confident of a deadline-day move to Manchester United, but there are ‘developing conversations’ over a move to Arsenal, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Chelsea are desperate to get rid of Sterling before the transfer window slams shut an hour before midnight tonight and Enzo Maresca has made it clear if he stays he will not play.

The Blues have held talks with Manchester United over a potential swap deal involving the winger and Jadon Sancho.

However, Manchester United have been clear about doing a deal on their terms and are not prepared to meet Sterling’s current wage demands.

It has been claimed that the Chelsea winger’s entourage are less confident about a deadline-day move to Old Trafford at the moment.

The England winger has also been offered to Arsenal and the Emirates has emerged as a viable destination for the player.

Chelsea and the winger’s representatives have been holding talks with Arsenal over a potential deal.

Sterling could still move after tonight, but it would have to be to a league where the transfer window is still open; many run until Monday night.
