Middlesbrough forward Emmanuel Latte Lath’s switch to Ipswich Town is ‘very unlikely’ to happen this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Tractor Boys have achieved promotion to the Premier League and have faced losses in their opening two matches against Liverpool and Manchester City.

Scoring goals will be very important to stay in the Premier League and they are looking to add more attacking talent despite securing the likes of Liam Delap and Sammie Szmodics.

They are currently in talks with Chelsea regarding Armando Broja after a deal fell through this month but they are keeping tabs on other options as well.

25-year-old Championship hitman Latte Lath is a player Kieran McKenna admires.

However, Latte Lath’s potential switch to Portman Road is ‘very unlikely’ to materialise at this stage of the window.

Michael Carrick’s side will play against Welsh side Cardiff City away on Saturday and he is expected to join his team-mates for the away trip.

He failed to travel earlier today as he pushed for the Ipswich move.

It remains to be seen if they will be able to do a deal for Broja in the last few hours after missing out on Latte Lath.
