Wolverhampton Wanderers are still keen on adding another central defender to their ranks before the transfer window closes but face a race against time, according to the Express & Star.
Gary O’Neil’s side have enjoyed a productive final day of the summer transfer window and are close to confirming the capture of Andre from Fluminese and Carlos Forbs from Ajax.
While the final details of those moves are sorted, the club decision-makers have not called it a day.
In fact, work is still being done to sign yet another player.
Wolves are looking at a central defender in the final hours of the transfer window.
The club had targeted a move for Dara O’Shea but after they failed to meet Burnley’s asking price, the 25-year-old moved to Ipswich Town.
With just a few hours remaining for the window to close though, the task is expected to be difficult.
It now remains to be seen how the club go about their pursuit with time a factor at play.
