Barry Ferguson is of the view that Rangers new boy Nedim Bajrami is an accomplished player and believes that he should get into any side straight away for the money the Gers paid for him.
In the recently closed transfer window, Rangers worked tirelessly to introduce fresh faces in their midfield department and signed a host of new players, Bajrami being one of them.
Rangers paid a hefty fee of €3.5m to Serie B side Sassuolo to sign the Albanian international on transfer deadline day.
Bajrami featured twice during the international break for Albania and Ferguson believes that the player is fit and with the recent minutes under his belt should be ready for the Dundee United game at the weekend.
The Gers legend stated that for the huge fee Rangers spent on Bajrami, he expects the midfielder to get straight into any team.
Ferguson also admitted that the Rangers new boy’s recent display for his national team has made him believe that Bajrami is a very accomplished player.
“He is fairly fit”, Ferguson said on the Go Radio Football Show.
“He has seen plenty of game time over the last three or four days.
“The game against Dundee United is not until Sunday, so he will have four rest days and for me, with the money Rangers have paid €3.5m he can get straight in any team.
“Obviously they suffered a tough defeat against Celtic in the last game and I am looking forward to seeing him in a Rangers strap because, from what I have seen over the last couple of international games for Albania, he looks a very accomplished player.”
Now all eyes will be on the weekend’s game to see whether Philippe Clement will hand Bajrami his debut against Dundee United.
