Former EFL star Sam Parkin is of the view that Millwall will miss Josh Coburn against Preston North End and thinks that the Lillywhites might secure a narrow win at the Den this Saturday.
Millwall have not had a good start to the season, as they are currently 18th in the league table with one win to their name.
At the weekend, the Lions are set to welcome Paul Heckingbottom’s Preston and Neil Harris will be without his new recruit Coburn, due to him recovering from an injury picked up early in the month in a game against Luton Town.
Parkin is sure that Millwall will miss the presence of Coburn in their forward line when facing Preston and thinks that the game will be a low-scoring affair.
He is of the opinion that Heckingbottom’s side will get the better of Millwall at the weekend to secure a narrow win at the Den.
“I am going to go for Preston to win”, Parkin said on the EFL Championship Predictions Show.
“I think this to me looks very much like a low scoring affair.
“It could easily be nil nil; it could be 1-0 either way.
“I am going to go for Preston North End to get it right under Heckingbottom and [Duncan] Watmore to have a rare off day and just Millwall might be feeling the effects of not having the option of Coburn.
“I am going to go for it to be a narrow away win, 1-0.”
Preston have also had a difficult start to the season and all eyes will be on Millwall to see whether Harris’s men can secure a win against Heckingbottom’s side to climb up the table.
