One of Leeds United’s out on loan stars answered all the concerns a former Premier League star had about him when he came on off the bench last weekend.
Leeds saw a loan exodus from Elland Road in the summer of 2023 and the loan exits were more limited this summer, with even Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober staying put at the club.
Jack Harrison though was a Leeds star who went out on loan again as the 27-year-old rejoined Everton.
At the weekend, he came off the bench in the second half and played a key role in helping Everton secure their first victory of the campaign against Crystal Palace.
Former Premier League star Michael Ball admitted that Harrison did all the things that he expects a substitute to do to impact the game and stressed that the Leeds loanee caused problems for Crystal Palace with his quick and decisive game.
He pointed out that the Whites star showed his quality and answered the concerns that he had.
“Last week I mentioned how if you’re a substitute, you’ve got to react and show your quality when you get your chance and Jack Harrison answered all my concerns when he came on”, Ball wrote in his Liverpool Echo column.
“He showed enthusiasm but more importantly he didn’t complicate matters, putting a wonderful ball in for Dwight McNeil, and caused Crystal Palace problems by nice and fast, decisive, play.”
The winger will be hoping to continue his performance when Everton face Newcastle United at the weekend as the Toffees will be determined to continue their winning run.
