Former Rangers star Derek Ferguson feels that the Gers stars are losing faith in Philippe Clement’s ideas.

The Glasgow giants were criticised heavily after a bleak start to the season but they stabilised at points, winning games in the Europa League and reaching the Scottish League Cup semi-final.

After Wednesday night’s 2-1 loss against Aberdeen, the Gers find themselves nine points behind the Dons and Celtic after ten league games.

Clement’s position at Ibrox has been questioned over and over again this term and after the Pittodrie loss, Ferguson insisted that Clement is losing trust.

The former Gers midfielder commented on Clement claiming the performance at Aberdeen was not bad and explained he does not know what the Belgian watched.

“I think he’s starting to lose the players. He’s losing me”, the former Rangers star said on BBC Sportsound about the Gers boss.

“When he first came in, I was impressed by the way he turned things round, but he seems to be seeing a different game from the one I’m seeing.”

Now it remains to be seen how many chances the Rangers boss will be given by the board to potentially turn things around in the season.
