Nottingham Forest are poised to be able to call upon the services of former AC Milan technical director Geoffrey Moncada as a transfer advisor.
The 40-year-old has been out of work since departing the Rossoneri at the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign, bringing an eight-year association with the Italian giants to an end.
Moncada initially joined the Rossoneri as chief scout in 2018 before rising through the ranks to assume the role of technical director, where he played a prominent part in shaping the club’s recruitment strategy.

The Frenchman also boasts previous experience with Monaco and had been expected to return to Ligue 1 by taking up a role at Nice, although the move ultimately failed to materialise for personal reasons.
It had already emerged that the Tricky Trees had tabled an offer in an attempt to convince Moncada to begin the next chapter of his career at the City Ground.
According to Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, Moncada will be a transfer advisor that Nottingham Forest will be able to call upon, but he is operating at group level.
As such, Moncada is understood to oversee recruitment not only at the City Ground, but across Evangelos Marinakis’ multi-club group project, including Olympiacos and Rio Ave.

All eyes will be on an official announcement, with Nottingham Forest set to benefit from Moncada’s extensive recruitment expertise, although the exact timeline for him to assume his duties remains unclear.
The Reds’ only business so far this window has come in the engine room through the arrivals of Gustavo Sa and Xavier Schlager.
Nottingham Forest also pushed hard to land Ousmane Diomande, although that pursuit now appears to have faded after negotiations with Sporting Lisbon broke down.
Another central defensive option remains Jhon Lucumi, although Juventus are currently considered the frontrunners, with the Colombian preferring a move to Turin.
Nottingham Forest are expected to remain active during the closing stages of the transfer window as they continue shaping Oliver Glasner’s new era.
Moncada’s arrival could also provide the Tricky Trees with another influential voice in the market, with the club expected to lean on his recruitment expertise in the upcoming windows.
