Thank heavens for the Confederations Cup. It may seem strange to read that sentence, but a summer without a World Cup, Copa America, or European Championship is enough to depress fans across the globe. FIFA’s tournament is growing in importance, and, make no mistake, is one that every country involved would dearly love to win.
