According to reports from France Football, Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta is attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League’s biggest clubs. The Spaniard, who has had troubles with injuries in recent years, has been a vital player for David Moyes’ side when fit, and numerous clubs are hoping to add the crafty 28-year-old to their squads.
It is believed that Arsenal and Manchester United have been tracking the player, who only returned to full fitness in January. Arteta was spectacular upon his return however, and this has led to plenty of speculation about his future.
The midfielder, who is currently under contract with Everton until 2012, is also reported to be a target of mega-rich Manchester City. Having just missed out on Champions League qualification last season, the Citizens see Arteta as an ideal addition to the team. It is believed Man City are willing to part with a massive €23M for the 28-year-old.
