Schalke boss Felix Magath is dreaming of reuniting Raul and Robinho to lead the club’s attack. The duo played together at Real Madrid and now, having already bagged Raul, Magath is looking into the signing of the Brazilian who is unsettled at Manchester City.
Reports from French sports daily L’Equipe suggest that Magath is readying an offer of some €25M for Robinho and believes a deal can be done to take the forward to the Bundesliga. Schalke also believe that the fact that Raul is already within their ranks could help to seal the deal as Robinho has massive respect for the Real Madrid legend.
Robinho is under contract with City until 2013, but given the Eastlands club’s massive spending spree, sees his future in some doubt and most recently spent time on loan at Santos. A move to Schalke could fit the bill and allow the Brazilian to relaunch his European career.
