Inter have still not given up thoughts of making a move for Liverpool’s Dirk Kuyt according to reports from Italy. The Nerazzurri had been expected to sign 29-year-old winger Giuseppe Sculli, but this move has stalled, causing a move for the Dutchman to be considered.
Genoa winger Sculli has been expected to arrive in Milan for the past week, but the move has not yet taken place, leading many to question whether it ever will. Inter boss Rafael Benitez knows Kuyt well from his time in Liverpool and believes the hard-working Holland star would fit into his plans perfectly and is a first class alternative.
Inter are watching closely to see if Kuyt takes to the pitch for Liverpool’s Europa League clash with Trabzonspor on Thursday as any appearance would bar the Dutchman from being involved in the Italians’ group stage Champions League push and would make a move less likely, although not impossible.
