Juventus are looking to boost their attacking options in January and have identified Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane as a possible signing, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Old Lady know that acquiring long time targets Edin Dzeko or Alberto Gilardino would be difficult mid-season, and believe Keane could be a useful alternative.
The Serie A giants know that Keane is struggling for playing time at White Hart Lane and believe they may be able to tempt Harry Redknapp in to sending the Irishman to Turin. Juventus also count Keane’s experience of Italian football, gained through a spell at Inter in the 2000/01 campaign, as a positive.
Other names under consideration are AC Milan legend Filippo Inzaghi and Catania forward Maxi Lopez. Whoever the Old Lady do decide to swoop for they are expected to make inquiries over the next two weeks, keen as they are to agree a deal in principle that can then be completed as soon as the window opens.
