Parma have moved to bring in highly rated Spanish winger Toni Calvo to the club. The 23-year-old arrives on loan from Greek giants Aris Salonika, where he has impressed since joining the side in 2007.
Calvo is a product of the prestigious Barcelona youth academy, but could not progress past the Blaugrana’s B team, eventually leaving Spain for Greece. The winger has also turned out for Spain’s Under-16, 17, 19, and 20 sides and has at times been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo in his playing style.
Parma will hope Calvo can aid them in their fight against the drop in Serie A. Just four points above the relegation places, the current season has been one of struggle for the northern Italian side.
