Borussia Dortmund’s impressive young midfielder Nuri Sahin will be allowed to leave the Bundesliga giants if an offer from either Barcelona or Real Madrid arrives in the summer.
Sahin has been linked with Real Madrid, with Jose Mourinho keen to add further young talent from Germany following his capture of Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira last year. Barcelona however, could still get involved and the Turkish international operates with the required comfort on the ball to thrive at the Camp Nou.
"If Nuri receives an offer from Real Madrid or FC Barcelona, he has the right to discuss the matter with us", said Dortmund’s director general Hans-Joachim Watzke.
If Sahin does leave Dortmund then the Ruhr club are expected to move for Nurnberg’s young schemer Ilkay Gundogan. The Franconian club realise they will have a tough time keeping hold of their talent and a bid of about €6M would be enough to tempt them to cash in.
