Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute has revealed that he does not see himself remaining in European football. At 33 years old the striker is keen to try something new and will head to either Qatar or the MLS.

Kanoute moved to Sevilla in 2005 from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur and in that time has gone on to become a stalwart at the Spanish side.

A Mali international, Kanoute has scored well over 100 goals in Spanish football and picked up two UEFA Cups, two Copa del Reys, one UEFA Super Cup and one Spanish Supercup; he was also voted African Footballer of the Year in 2007.

Now though Kanoute is thinking of life after Sevilla and one thing is certain – he will not continue his career with another European side.

"Both the club and I agree that we could end our beautiful story in advance", Kanoute said to L’Equipe about an exit from Sevilla.

"I would like to play in Qatar or the the United States."
