Kenyan midfielder McDonald Mariga, who has been a target for English club Aston Villa, looks to be on his way out of Inter this summer after growing unhappy at his lack of first team football.
The 24-year-old moved to the Nerazzurri last year, switching from fellow Serie A side Parma. But since then the tough-tackling defensive midfielder has featured only sporadically for the 2010 Champions League winners.
And according to his agent, it is looking increasingly likely that Mariga will quit the club.
"I think Mariga deserved more space [on the pitch] in his second year at Inter", said Federico Pastorello to Sky Sport.
"At this point, he is likely going to play elsewhere, perhaps overseas."
This news should encourage Aston Villa, who were linked with Mariga in March. The Kenyan star looks well suited to English football and would surely consider any offer that was forthcoming from the Midlands club.
