Despite a raft of interest in Sergio Aguero, Atletico Madrid have revealed that they have yet to receive a single concrete offer for the Argentine striker.
Aguero recently stated his intention to leave the Vicente Calderon this summer, believing his career can only progress further elsewhere. And while the giants of Europe, from Chelsea to Juventus to Bayern Munich, are all keeping tabs on the situation and weighing up their next move, Atletico have been left with not a single bid on the table so far.
"Until now we have received no official offers, not even from Juventus", explained the Spanish club’s president Enrique Cerezo to Sky Sport 24.
The lack of a bid from Juventus is surprising, especially given Atletico board member Miguel Angel Gil Marin had confirmed speaking to the Turin club about Aguero.
A reason for interested parties treading carefully however seems certain to be the fee Atletico demand for their talent.
"The only thing certain is that he wants to leave Atletico", said Cerezo.
"We don’t know where he could go, we are waiting to meet him. His price? €45M."
