Turkish giants Galatasaray are hoping to snap up Real Madrid outcast Lassana Diarra.

The defensive midfielder, who was left out of Los Blancos pre-season trip to the United States, has most recently been linked with a move to English Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.

However, despite receiving a lukewarm response from Diarra’s representatives, Galatasaray are hopeful that a lucrative financial package can persuade the Frenchman to head to Istanbul.

Their task though looks a stiff one – Diarra reportedly recently turned down a switch to Italian giants Juventus, concerned about their absence from the Champions League and remaining prepared to quit the Bernabeu only for the right offer.

And while Spurs, bossed by Harry Redknapp, are thought to be a side Diarra would consider, Galatasaray is a move the former Chelsea man would need convincing to complete.

Under contract with Real Madrid until 2013, Diarra is in no hurry to exit the Spanish capital, despite being frozen out at Los Blancos.
