Having suffered the pain of relegation from La Liga last season, French striker David Trezeguet could be handed a boost by Barcelona boss Josep Guardiola.
The 1998 World Cup winning striker is not expected to remain with Hercules, the club he could not beat the drop with last season, and has been interesting Serie A side Napoli.
However, according to El Mundo Deportivo, Trezeguet could still remain in Spain and with none other than La Liga champions Barcelona.
Following the completion of Bojan Krkic’s move to Roma, the Catalans are on the lookout for a new striker and 33-year-old Trezeguet may be the perfect low cost solution.
Guardiola rates the former Juventus man and the French forward himself would undoubtedly leap at the chance for a cameo at the Camp Nou so close to the end of an illustrious career.
