Barcelona are keeping a close watch on Internacional striker Leandro Damiao.
Internacional’s highly-rated hitman has been linked with a cavalcade of clubs in recent months, with English Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur having a bid for his services rejected in June, while Italian pair Juventus and Fiorentina are also hot on his heels.
But were Barcelona to agree a fee for the 22-year-old, it is understood his choice would be an easy one.
Josep Guardiola’s side ran the rule over the striker at the summer’s Audi Cup and are continuing to have him extensively scouted by their South American team.
Something of a race is threatening to develop for the Brazilian, and Internacional are thought to be looking for in excess of €15M to allow him to leave Dorival Junior’s side.
Damiao picked up the 2010 Copa Libertadores with Internacional and has also been capped at senior level by Brazil, finding the back of the net once.
