Brazilian side Internacional are determined to extract top dollar for their highly rated striker Leandro Damiao.
A cavalcade of clubs have been lining up to watch the forward in action, with Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur considered the player’s most serious suitors.
Spurs had a bid for Damiao rejected at the start of the summer, while Barcelona have already made noises over a potential switch to the Camp Nou.
And interest from Serie A duo Juventus and Fiorentina could yet firm up.
However, 22-year-old is not just making an impression on interested parties, but also on his club side Internacional too, who are themselves growing convinced that serious money will be needed to take the striker from the Beira-Rio.
Damiao’s release clause stands at €50M, an amount Internacional are insisting must be paid for their starlet.
"Damiao is proving to be worth the amount specified in his termination clause", said Internacional vice-president Luis Anapa.
"And with how he is playing I am sure there will be a club willing to pay the amount requested."
