CSKA Moscow have confirmed that Brazilian striker Vagner Love is on the brink of leaving the club.

The 27-year-old joined the Russian Premier League giants in 2004 and, although breaking up that stint with a series of loan spells back in his homeland, has remained under contract to the army club.

But now that period looks set to come to an end with CSKA president Yvegeny Giner admitting that he accepts Love has been with the side long enough and deserves to be granted a move.

"We really intend to let Vagner go, after eight years spent in one place abroad you really need to change teams", Giner told Sport Express.

"The negotiations will begin in November, when we will understand what players are leaving, what we need to change and which problems we need to solve in the near future."

Love is sure to be an interesting proposition for a whole host of teams with, intriguingly, English Premier League outfit Arsenal mooted as being ready to take the Brazilian to London.
