Arsenal are one of a whole host of clubs tracking Padova striker Ousmane Drame according to the player’s agent.
The striker has been excelling with Padova in Italy’s Serie B and these performances have caught the eye of a number of sides.
"Arsenal are interested in him, I’m working on it directly with them", said Drame’s agent George Atangana to Mediagol.
"I have talked with Wenger.
"In Italy there are Palermo and especially Fiorentina interested in him."
Thoughts of signing the striker in January though will have to be shelved by the interested parties believes Atangana, with the preferred option a full campaign with Padova for Drame.
"Now the important thing is that Ousmane will end the season in Padova, then we’ll see.
"I can say that almost all the medium-high clubs in Italy and abroad like him", added Atangana.
The news of Arsenal’s interest comes as the man Arsene Wenger has tipped as his preferred successor urged the Frenchman to buy another striker, arguing that Robin van Persie is not the type of forward the Gunners need.
