Valencia have moved to see off interest from Arsenal and Liverpool in their highly rated young striker Paco Alcacer.

The 18-year-old is set to put pen to paper on a new contract at the Mestalla in the next few days which would see him commit his future to Los Che until 2016; the deal will also include a buy-out clause set at €20M.

Valencia hope that this will be enough to persuade both Arsenal and Liverpool to put their interest in Alcacer on ice after the duo closely watched the Spaniard – and if not, a lucrative amount will be bagged.

Los Che boss Unai Emery is determined to ease Alcacer into the first team slowly, but has assured the starlet that he will be a regular first team option for the 2012/13 campaign.

Alcacer’s progress has delighted Valencia, although the Spanish giants have not been surprised by his rapid rate of development.

The youngster scored twice in the Under-19 European Championship final against the Czech Republic as Spain won the trophy in a 3-2 thriller in Romania.

Represented in the stands that day was a who’s who of European football, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Barcelona all quickly scribbling Alcacer’s name in their notebooks and booking travel arrangements for their scouts to be a regular fixture in Valencia this season.

Now, should either of the English giants, or Barcelona and Bayern Munich, wish to snap up Alcacer, Los Che will be guaranteed €20M.
