Wolfsburg boss Felix Magath is bidding to spice up his squad by signing up to five new players in the January transfer window.
Magath has vowed to win the Bundesliga in three years with the Wolves, replicating his achievement in the 2008/09 campaign.
But following a mixed start to the season, Magath has grown convinced that reinforcements are needed – and quickly.
The former Bayern Munich boss commented he wants to sign "two, four or five new players."
Magath watched his charges get taken apart by current champions Borussia Dortmund at the weekend, losing 5-1 at the Ruhr giants, yet is still targeting a European spot with the side in 13th place.
"The goal is to earn a European place and I need players who are ready immediately, without an adjustment period.
"When you can’t always get the player you want you must make compromises."
