Manchester United are tracking young French midfielder Dolan Bahamboula.
The 16-year-old currently plies his trade with Ligue 1 side Nancy, but has popped up on the Red Devils’ radar as an extremely promising prospect.
And Manchester United are believed to have sent scouts to watch the left-footed schemer – with glowing reports having been sent back to Old Trafford.
Bahamboula is still considered some way off Nancy’s first team, but the French club hope to be able to fend off interest in the youngster long enough to enable him to grace the Stade Marcel Picot.
The 16-year-old has seen his talents recognised at international level, appearing twice for France in the European Under-17 Championship qualifiers this season, helping Les Bleus to rout the Faroe Islands (5-0) and Northern Ireland (4-0).
While an official approach from Sir Alex Ferguson’s English champions does not appear imminent, Manchester United scouts look likely to continue to monitor Bahamboula.
