Tottenham Hotspur and Lille are thought to be weighing up a January transfer window swap deal.
The intriguing idea would see Lille goal-getter Moussa Sow head to White Hart Lane and Spurs’ out-of-favour striker Roman Pavlyuchenko replace the Senegal international at the Ligue 1 champions.
Sow is keen to move to a bigger league after top scoring last season in Lille’s title-winning campaign. This summer however, the 25-year-old surprisingly stayed put.
The former Rennes man is believed to be keen on the prospective challenge of playing in the Premier League and has been linked with Arsenal and Newcastle United in the past.
Russian star Pavlyuchenko meanwhile is also ready to switch clubs, but this time the motivation is regular first team football.
Pavlyuchenko is known to be concerned about cementing his spot in Russia’s Euro 2012 squad and is widely expected to quit White Hart Lane in the January window.
A move to Lille could be up the 29-year-old’s street and the Spurs striker cannot help but have noticed how Rudi Garcia’s side have revitalised another player struggling for game time in the Premier League – Joe Cole.
