Interest is building in AZ midfielder Rasmus Elm, the player’s agent has confirmed.

Elm is believed to be on the wanted list of Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, with the Red Devils mooted as moving closer and closer towards a bid.

And while Elm’s agent Patrick Mork was not ready to confirm that Manchester United are on the verge of making an offer for his client, he did not deny that some of Europe’s biggest sides are queuing up for the 23-year-old Sweden international.


"One should not be surprised at anything with Rasmus", said Mork to Eurosport.

"He is now seen as the hottest player in Holland and has a very high status in Europe."

Mork would not be drawn on individual clubs however, even if Manchester United’s interest is considered to be common knowledge.

"I can’t comment on individual clubs, although I am aware of what is happening", added Mork.

"So, I must be boring. But what I can say is that many of the biggest clubs follow Rasmus."
