Borussia Dortmund have warned off clubs from attempting to sign Mario Gotze next summer.

The Germany international midfielder has a plethora of admirers, with the likes of Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all dreaming of being able to call upon his services on the pitch.

Dortmund however, are not even contemplating selling Gotze and are looking forward to seeing him compete in the 2012/13 campaign alongside Marco Reus, for whom a €17.5M deal has just been completed.

And to this end, Dortmund general manager Michael Zorc has issued a ‘hands off’ warning to any would be suitors.

"We’ve agreed with Mario that he will play with us next year", said Zorc to Bild.

"He has a contract until mid-2014 and we see no reason to sell him."

The Dortmund chief was forced to admit however that an extraordinary offer might just be considered, but set the bar very high.

"But, I’m not a psychic. If tomorrow a club offered us one billion euros, then we’d think about it."
