Chelsea are interested in tempting 16-year-old Italian starlet Bryan Cristante to Stamford Bridge.

Andre Villas-Boas and co. are taken with the midfielder, who currently turns out with AC Milan and appeared for the Rossoneri in this season’s Champions League group stage, making his debut for the Italian giants against Viktoria Plzen.

Chelsea have been aware of Cristante’s talents long before then however and are believed to have enlisted the help of FIFA agent Giuseppe Riso to help negotiate a deal with Milan.

Riso is thought to have been knocked back by Milan, but Chelsea’s interest has not died and the Blues stand ready to take the starlet to England if any window of opportunity opens up.

Cristante joined Milan in 2009 after his talent was quickly spotted in appearances for amateur outfit Liventina Gorghense.

The midfielder has played for Italy at Under-16 and Under-17 level.
