Marseille striker Loic Remy has revealed he felt no extra pressure against Lille at the weekend, despite the fact Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp was watching from the stands.

Remy continued his excellent form for Marseille in the clash as he scored both goals in the side’s 2-0 win – a performance sure to have impressed Redknapp.

The Spurs manager has already admitted a liking for Remy and the English club lined up a bid of €8M plus Roman Pavlyuchenko for the former Nice man, until Marseille were clear that that offer would not find favour.

Remy however is staying cool and feels under no extra pressure.

“There was no additional pressure”, said Remy to France Football.

“It’s nice, it means some clubs have shown interest’, added Remy, “but it has already been sorted out with the chairman and with the coach – it’s out of the question to leave now.”

Remy has been Marseille’s main threat in front of goal this season and the French giants remain reluctant to let him leave.

But Spurs appear to have not lost interest in the striker.
