There is still some distance between CSKA Moscow and Lazio over the transfer of Keisuke Honda.
Lazio have been confident of signing Honda from the Russian club, especially after shipping out Djibril Cisse to Queens Park Rangers.
The capital club are thought to have proposed a €2M loan for Honda until the end of the season, with a further €10M to come to make the move a permanent one in the summer of the attacking midfielder impresses.
But for CSKA Moscow, this proposal is not good enough.
Now the onus is on Lazio to beat the deadline day clock with a better bid.
