Argentine defender Mauro Cetto has stated his belief that Eden Hazard is Tottenham Hotspur bound.
The 29-year-old is on loan at Hazard’s French side Lille until the end of the season, having struggled to make an impact at Palermo, the club for which he signed last summer from Toulouse.
In France, Cetto has been able to observe the qualities of Lille’s exciting Belgian forward at close quarters and also kept pace with the constant transfer speculation surrounding the 21-year-old.
Hazard seems certain to move to the English Premier League in the summer, although where exactly he might end up is still the subject of much debate.
It appears that Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all tracking the forward – and each have the financial firepower to make Hazard a lucrative offer.
Cetto however is sure he knows where his team-mate is heading: to White Hart Lane.
"This year he has grown and in terms of goals and assists, he is incredible", the Argentine told Tutto Mercato, before speculating that Lille will not feel the benefit of those skills next season.
"He makes a difference. He is a complete player.
"But he will play in England, at Tottenham.
"I think that his future will be there."
Cetto himself is trying to earn a permanent switch to Rudi Garcia’s side in the summer, but even should the defender succeed, he is unlikely to be playing alongside Hazard next season.
