While some may feel that the drama only really begins at major tournaments in the knockout rounds, it is impossible to look at Euro 2012’s Group C and not see the potential for special moments. After all, Spain and Italy account for the silverware at the past three major tournaments (2006, 2008 and 2010) while Croatia and the Republic of Ireland have frequently shown an appetite for shock upsets.
