Promising Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao has once again admitted that, should the right bid arrive, he could quit Internacional to move to Europe.
The 22-year-old has impressed a number of Europe’s elite, with Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus all known to be firm fans of his abilities.
Internacional have been solid in their stance that Damiao will not leave on the cheap though and the goalscorer’s release clause at the Brazilian outfit is €60M.
There has been a realisation of late however that a smaller bid, while still substantial, could be enough to take the forward away from South America.
Firm bids in this price range have yet to land on Internacional’s lap though and Damiao admits he is speculating on ‘what if’ when he talks about an exit.
"To arouse the interest of leading European clubs is something that flatters me and we will discuss it if there is some concrete proposal", said the forward to Sport TV.
"However, as I have said, my intention is to remain with Inter until 2014, but if there is a fair offer for the club before, the opportunity would be there to assess it."
