Dijon midfielder Benjamin Corgnet has admitted he has received offers from Chelsea and Liverpool, but confirmed it is a switch to Lyon he wants.

The goalscoring midfielder is a man in demand after a superb season in Ligue 1 with Les Rouges; and this despite Dijon losing their battle for survival in the French top flight.

Now the 25-year-old, who was playing in the fifth tier of the French football as recently as 2010, looks set to part company with Dijon and continue his stint at the top level.

And that would ideally be with Lyon, Corgnet has admitted.

"Currently, I must confess that my priority is to sign for Lyon, but there are many complications", the Frenchman announced on Twitter.

"I am at home in the Lyon area and it would please my family if I wore the club’s shirt", he added.

But if a move to Les Gones does not go through, Corgnet does have other options, with the midfielder having received offers from two of England’s biggest sides, Chelsea and Liverpool, even if he is not keen.

Questioned on whether he had suitors from abroad who had made him offers, the 25-year-old was forthcoming.

"Yes, Chelsea and Liverpool", said Corgnet, before explaining the reason he is cold on moving to either of the Premier League giants.

"But I would not know my place and I am not ready to throw myself in at the deep end.

"I would be like [Raphael] Varane who never plays for Real Madrid."

Lyon are hoping to push through a deal for Corgnet, who is under contract with Dijon until 2016, but the financial situation at the Stade Gerland is delicate.

Bordeaux are also watching developments.
