Dynamo Kyiv are moving to strengthen their squad before the Champions League qualification rounds begin by swooping on Hertha Berlin for highly-rated Raffael.
According to German daily Bild, Hertha Berlin have accepted an offer of around €14M for the 27-year-old, who is now on his way to the Ukraine for talks with Dynamo Kyiv.
The attacking midfielder will be offered a lucrative contract to move to the Ukrainian capital and help the club not just make progress in the Champions League, but also compete with rivals Shakhtar Donetsk for league glory.
Raffael has been linked with a number of Europe’s elite over the last 12 months and a transfer to the Ukraine could come as some surprise.
The Brazilian joined Hertha Berlin in 2008 from Swiss Super League outfit FC Zurich. He had moved to Switzerland as a teenager, first appearing for FC Chiasso.
Dynamo Kyiv are now battling against the clock to sign Raffael, with the Champions League registration deadline closing later today.
