Hugo Lloris has finally completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur after signing a long-term contract at White Hart Lane.

The fee for the transfer of the French goalkeeper is believed to be €12M with €3M in potential add-ons.

The French international has been linked with Spurs for the entire summer, but the Lilywhites were not able to agree a transfer fee with Lyon until now.

With time running out however, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has now succeeded in reaching an agreement with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.

Lloris arrived in North London earlier today and after passing his medical and penning a contract, the summer long transfer saga has finally come to a close.

The French international will fight with current number one Brad Friedel for the spot between the sticks, while Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes remain alternative goalkeeping options available to boss Andre Villas-Boas.

The 25-year-old keeper started his career with Nice in 2005 and moved to Lyon in 2008. He became a fan favourite soon after his arrival and made 144 appearances in Ligue 1 in his four seasons at the Stade Gerland.
