Arsenal have handed a trial to 17-year-old midfielder Ismail H’Maidat, according to France Football.
The talented Belgian prospect has been involved in Nike’s programme "The Chance", in which scouts for the company scour the globe for 100 potential stars and hand the winners the opportunity to train and play with some of the world’s best teams.
Described as a player with natural leadership ability, composure and impressive technical skills, H’Maidat now has an opportunity to impress Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and his coaches.
It remains to be seen just what impact H’Maidat will have, but training with Arsenal is a big achievement for the young Belgian hopeful.
The Gunners were quiet on transfer deadline day, not bringing in any notable new faces. Their commitment to unearthing and developing young talent however, remains undimmed.
