Jose Mourinho has revealed that he would work under Roman Abramovich at Chelsea once again, insisting he has a good relationship with the Russian oligarch.

Mourinho and Abramovich parted ways in 2007 after the Portuguese tactician had spent three years at Stamford Bridge.

relatedNewsStory Upon the split, there was much talk of a breakdown between the two, especially picking up pace with the purchase of Ukrainian striker Andriy Shevchenko, who was widely seen as having been an Abramovich signing and not Mourinho’s.

The former FC Porto boss headed next to Italy and Inter, where he won the 2010 Champions League, before landing at current job Real Madrid in the same year.

Mourinho has been consistent in his declaration though that he wishes to return to manage in England at some point and, at 49 years old, time is most certainly on the Portuguese’s side.

And, speaking to CNN’s Mourinho Masterclass, which airs on Friday at 4:30pm, he admitted that he would have no problem pitching up back at Stamford Bridge.

"Of course", said Mourinho when asked if he would work for Abramovich at Chelsea again.

And Mourinho admits that he is still in touch with the Chelsea owner, who helped to send Michael Essien to Real Madrid recently.

"A lot in touch, and the last example is Michael Essien was going to another club and when I did (gestures to telephone call) ‘please leave it to your friend’ he left to his friend. We have a great relationship in fact."

Mourinho however surely has winning what would be Real Madrid’s tenth European Cup on his mind before heading back to England.

And it is likely there will be a scramble for his services when he is ready to manage in the Premier League once again.
