Jose Mourinho has hinted that he would be open to managing Paris Saint-Germain in the future.

The Real Madrid boss was linked with the Parc des Prince hotseat before Carlo Ancelotti succeeded Antoine Kombouare in December, 2011.

relatedNewsStory And while Ancelotti is currently performing well as PSG coach, mounting a serious title tilt with the capital club and looking contenders in the Champions League, the future after the Italian is uncertain.

Indeed, the only certainty is that with money remaining no issue at PSG, the French giants should have their pick of the world’s top managers – and Mourinho falls into that category.

"I think being the champion in another country is a motivation for me", Mourinho told beinSport.

"I have been a champion in four different countries, so why not a fifth?", he added.

"Currently, the PSG project is in the hands of quality people like Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo.

"So at this time, PSG do not need another coach", he concluded.

Mourinho has continually stated that when he leaves Real Madrid his next destination will be a return to English football.

However, the Portuguese could be tempted to take a detour and head to France first.
