Young Spanish midfielder Suso has promised Liverpool that he can do much better as he gains experience from every game.

Suso was handed his Liverpool debut by manager Brendan Rodgers this season, against Young Boys in the Europa League, while he then got his first taste of Premier League football in the clash against Manchester United.

Just 19 years old, Suso has been tipped for big things ever since Liverpool pipped Real Madrid to sign him from Spanish outfit Cadiz in 2010, being persuaded to head to Anfield by then-manager Rafael Benitez.

And he is loving playing in the Premier League with Liverpool, having enjoyed some superb performances – but he does believe he can get much better.

"I’m really happy with the way this season has been going. I think I can still do better but it is my first year and I am getting experience with every game", Suso told Liverpool’s official site.

"The Premier League is really difficult and I am only 19 years old so I need to keep working to improve and try to learn from all the great players that we have here with lots of experience.

"The biggest thing is that you cannot fall asleep in this team. You always have to work hard every day and show the boss and everyone here that you are playing well.

"There are a lot of good players and not everyone can play every week but if you don’t, the next week you need to show that you are doing well."
