In-demand Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen has insisted that he is not giving any thought to his future at present, with his entire focus going on helping the Dutch champions to defend their title.

Eriksen’s contract at the Amsterdam ArenA expires in the summer of 2014, meaning that if he does not pen an extension soon, it will have just one more year left to run.

Ajax director of football Marc Overmars recently stated that he hopes the Dane will sign a new deal if one of Europe’s elite clubs does not come in for him over the summer.

But with Manchester United and Liverpool confirmed admirers, while a number of other sides also rate Eriksen highly, that hope may be a forlorn one.

The player himself though is determined not to think about a potential move just yet.
