Valencia defender Adil Rami looks set to snub his suitors by penning a new contract at the Mestalla with Los Che.

Rami has excelled in the heart of the Valencia defence, with performances so good that he has attracted attention from English giants Arsenal and also Premier League leaders Manchester United.

The Frenchman has also been mooted in some quarters as the answer to Barcelona’s lack of strength in depth at the back.

But the former Lille stopper is happy with life at Valencia, feeling the first team football is helping his international prospects, and is seriously considering extending his contract, which presently runs until 2015.

"There is an offer from Valencia to renew my contract and that makes me feel good", Rami explained to Canal +.

"The main thing is that I am a key player. That is not the case for all of my competitors for a place in the French national team."

Valencia may also be able to offer Rami Champions League football once again for 2013/14, given their good form in La Liga, which has seen the side rise to fifth place in the table.

Los Che are just one point away from the all-important fourth spot.
