English Premier League leaders Manchester United are sending scouts to keep an eye on the Portuguese Superliga clash between Sporting Braga and FC Porto next Monday, according to Portuguese daily Record.

The scouts will have an eagle eye on three young Porto players: centre-back Eliaquim Mangala, left-back Alex Sandro, and left-sided forward James Rodriguez.



Mangala, 22, signed for the Dragons in August 2011 from Standard Liege. The French centre-back has already made 18 league appearances for the club, as well as featuring eight times in the Champions League this season.

Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro, 22, has made six appearances in the Champions League for the Portuguese giants, assisting two goals. His pace and strength are considered his key attributes, with the promising starlet tipped for big things.

21-year-old Rodriguez has already carved out a sky high reputation for himself. The forward won the Portuguese Golden Ball award in 2012, becoming the second Colombian after Radamel Falcao to pick up the prestigious accolade, as well as the youngest recepient.

Rodriguez has hailed as one of the most promising talents of the game and has made 28 appearances for the Portuguese giants in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals and assisting nine.

All of the three players’ contracts at the club run until 2016.
