Manchester United have seen a €35M offer for Colombian forward James Rodriguez rebuffed by Portuguese giants FC Porto, according to Tutto Mercato and Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Rodriguez has been in great form for the Portistas this season, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists in 28 appearances in all competitions, form that has prompted Manchester United to send scouts to watch the left-sided striker in Porto’s clash against Sporting Braga next Monday.

But the Red Devils are already convinced of Rodriguez’s talents and are thought to have made a big money offer for the starlet, intent on taking him to Old Trafford.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is not the only one interested in Rodriguez however. The Colombian was also linked with moves to Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid during the January transfer window, but a deal to any of the clubs was not brokered.
