Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has expressed his admiration for Catalan giants Barcelona, adding they are "one out of two or three teams" that could convince him to move away from Signal Iduna Park.

Hummels has been Jurgen Klopp’s general in the defensive lines, appearing in 39 matches for the club this season, scoring three goals.

His ability to safeguard his goalkeeper has attracted interest from Arsenal, Juventus and Inter over the years. But more recently, it is Barcelona who is said to be leading the race for his signature.

The Catalan giants appear to be serious in their bid to bring Hummels to Camp Nou, with director Raul Sanllehi personally seeing the transfer through.

And now Hummels has hinted that he may favour a move to Barcelona.

"My father and I would reject 99.9 per cent of all clubs in the world, if they approached us", Hummels told German magazine Sport Bild.

"But Barcelona is one out of two or three teams that could get me to consider a summer switch", he added.

Germany international Hummels has been at Signal Iduna Park since 2009, when he transferred from current Bundesliga champions Bayern Munchen following a loan deal.

The solid defender is under contract with Dormund until 2017.
