Rafael van der Vaart has urged South Korean starlet Son Heung-Min to snub interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs in the summer in order to remain at Hamburg.
The forward’s talents have been noticed by a number of sides, with his agent recently confirming that Chelsea and Manchester United want Son, while Liverpool are keen; Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus and even Bayern Munich have been mooted as suitors.
What is clear is that Son is a player in demand, a fact of which Van der Vaart is well aware.
But the Dutchman, who joined Hamburg last summer from Tottenham Hotspur, feels that for now Son would be better staying put.

"He is doing very well with us, Son is a great talent and is very confident", Van der Vaart told Dutch daily De Telegraaf.
"He is very important for us and he can become even more important.
"It looks like it is better that he stays at HSV.
"Son will now be noticed by the big clubs, but he may be better with us getting games than sitting on the bench of an international club."
The 20-year-old has featured 28 times in the Bundesliga for Hamburg this season, scoring eleven goals.
