Andre Schurrle’s agent is hoping for developments with regard to his client’s potential move to Chelsea as early as the weekend.

The Blues are in discussions with the striker’s current club Bayer Leverkusen, although thrashing out a deal is proving to be anything but easy.

Leverkusen are keen to bag Kevin De Bruyne as part of the transfer, the Belgian having impressed while on loan at Werder Bremen from Chelsea this season.

It does seem that an agreement will be found however, but it remains to be seen if De Bruyne will form part of it.

And Schurrle’s agent is hopeful of positive news soon.

"I’m hoping for a solution by the weekend", Schurrle’s agent Ingo Haspel told German daily Bild.

"I’m waiting for information from Leverkusen or Chelsea", he continued.

"I can only repeat that Chelsea want Andre. Otherwise, they would not be negotiating with Bayer."

Chelsea tried to buy Schurrle from Leverkusen last summer, but saw their bid knocked back by the Bundesliga outfit.
